Selfish Fears

Many fears I suppress, In my Hugr I retain, in my Minni remain. Being someone's second choice Is one I fear th'most. To be someone's second love, Th'one they settled for. Oh! To long for more! The women with age tell tales of yore, To their grandaughter's they confess hurt Of a time long ago When their love was young and bold. They speak of their unrequited love Oh, so boldly one could weep. Th'one's they speak of so fondly Taken by death, or their former loves' flame dwindl'ed lame. So they settl'ed for th'one in second place. And so, I cannot help but feel My fears emerge of pains concealed, That, if I were to love my wife, my gliss'ning bride, And cherish her like one's own life, To reach high into Freyr's abode -Those gliss'ning skies in which we behold Those gold'n rays shimm'ring bold- And give'er my world, And I overheard whilst walking by, Or if the winds told me, "Lo there, th'one who dreams too h...

On The Subject of All Things Below

I look upon these works of mine And see the work I’ve done. A glimpse into the past, a machine of time And see how sad I was. O’ how far I’ve come. Happy is he who burns brightly and chooses to help himself. Change in normalcy. O’ how sad I was of the lost loves Whom weaken the strongest ones. But what good can be done? What good can all this come of? Untrusting I was, To many dark ideas I succumbed. I wanted to end it but didn't want to die. My soul was lost. My heart sullied and torn Lonely and worn. Yet even with these scars you see It remains on my sleeve. Aye, I keep it on my sleeve despite. I pulled myself out, Now I’m without a doubt, I choose to help others see a way Before I pine away.

The Outsider

What’s an outsider? Well, it depends on the context, in the setting .....does that make sense? Y’know? How when someone feels like they don’t fit in. Anywhere. They don’t know why. It seems so simple to just be like everyone else. But they can’t be like everyone else. Sometimes, what other people are, is something they can’t be. Either because it doesn’t make sense to them at the moment, or because they’re just confused. They know what they want to do, but don’t know how to do it. They don’t know where to start. It gets overwhelming. They want to cry, but they can’t. They want to know what it’s like to actually know what to do with their life, and not feel like they’re missing out on something. They feel empty inside. They want to believe so hard that they have a piece in this life, but they can’t find it. That glimmer of hope. The people he once looked up to and the people that expected better of him, now feels like he’s disappointed them. He feels alone even with the pe...

Walking Alone

Sometimes I need to apologize. Sometimes I need to admit that I am not right. Sometimes I should just keep my mouth shut...... Sometimes I still feel I'm walking alone. Alone. Alone in between these walls that keep getting smaller and smaller the more I try to go through them. They tighten around me as I crouch myself to keep moving to just get to the other side, where I will be free. The freedom to do any sort of movement. To stretch my arms and legs and to let my mind roam free where it was being concealed between these walls, where it wasn't letting me see the bigger picture. But to be able to do that I sometimes need to apologize, Sometimes I need to admit that I am not right, Sometimes I should just keep my mouth shut, then I won't feel like I'm walking alone.

This Stupid Love

It's what people call when they've met someone who will meet their standards, someone who will be with them for the rest of time...... Only to find out that they didn't love them back.

Brutal Love

Turn out the lights. Close your eyes. Turn up the silence, the heartache of your life. Dance forever, under the lights, This Brutal Love. Oh how you want it, You're begging for it, But you can't have it even if you try. It's in the clutches, in the hands of This Brutal Love. Old toys, this plastic heart. Loners and fools are tearing me apart. Here comes trouble, the uninvited, This Brutal Love. Danger, not quite at home. The eyes of temptation, the flesh on my bones. Hello stranger, I'm a disaster, This Brutal Love. Bad luck, pities, and soda, anguish, and shame; the modern fool. Bad sex, buy me a trainwreck, something for my troubled mind. Bad luck, pities, and soda, anguish, and shame; the modern fool. Bad love, kiss me I'm roaded, something for my troubled mind. Drop out, drop dead hideous. How low is this Brutal Love? Anesthesia

Give me anesthesia. Give me anesthesia so I won't have to feel the pain. Put me to sleep peacefully so my brain won't have to go through this again. Oh my heart, my aching little heart, open it up to relieve the pressure, the pressure of having to be this person who feels he has to fit to everybody's wants. It won't take much longer for it to explode, for it to be shattered and empty. It can't take much longer. Give me anesthesia to put me to sleep, not for a while, but for forever. Give me anesthesia so people won't have to look me in the eye and say "I told you so." Give me anesthesia and put me to sleep so that nobody else has to deal with another failure.
